Everything's Amazing and Nobody's Happy
Dan Littauer, who moderates and illustrates this blog, and his friend Adam Reynolds passed on this video to me of the comedian Louis C.K. appearing on Conan O'Brien's old show. Their thought was that it had theological implications (we've been looking at Romans recently and they particularly wondered if it tied into the key thing that seems to connect people to God there [in 1:20-21]--thanking God or the universe or whomever for the gifts we get that we didn't and couldn't create for ourselves [rain, for instance]). As if this kind of thankfulness is the road to salvation.
