Blue Ocean Inc. is a 501 (c) 3 public non-profit organization that operates primarily off of donations. Your financial contribution enables us to continue to produce resources and materials that we give away for free or at cost. Most of our materials can be used and distributed freely according to their terms of license under Creative Commons.
There is absolutely no requirement to donate money for any reason. In fact, if you feel any obligation at all to donate, we strongly prefer that YOU DON’T GIVE.
If on the other hand, you would like to partner with us by supporting us financially, we would gladly receive it. Some of the ways in which your funds might be used include:
- Subsidizing consulting for BOI partner churches and organizations
- Developing Seek DVDs
- Revising and updating Seek
- Developing and maintaining a new website
- Updating and distributing Blue Ocean Churches
- Producing, editing, and packaging Leap of Faith programs
- Subsidizing our annual conference: Blue Ocean Summit
- Subsidizing the cost of Not The Religious Type: Confessions of a Turncoat Atheist
- Blog maintenance and upkeep
- Allowing us to hire full time staff
